Rosa Mae Carroll Jordan, 97, of Halifax, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012.

She was a native of Brunswick County, VA, the daughter of the late Jim and Minnie Mills Carroll, and the tenth of eleven children. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph L. Jordan, Sr., her son, J. L. Jordan, Jr., two daughters, Carolyn Fulson and Dorothy Hendron, two granddaughters, Vickie and Julie, and all ten siblings.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Harris and her husband, Jack, of Roanoke Rapids, Lillian Roberts and her husband, Lewis, of Newport News, VA, and Jannell Best and her husband, Ed, of Halifax; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, and a very, very special caregiver, Donnta Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Aaron Pendley and Rev. Russ Collins officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
